Touchscreen Digital Guitar without Strings
“Among God’s creatures two, the dog and the guitar, have taken all the sizes and all the shapes, in order not be separated from the man”. This Misa digital guitar is one such creature.
If you play the guitar then the thought of String less guitar will be a Shock to you. TheMisa Digital Guitar has taken the strings out and put a touchscreen in their place.
According to the manufacturer’s site, the Misa Digital Guitar is not a alternative for the traditional string Guitar, but rather to morph sounds “in an infinite number of ways.”
One of my friend who plays guitar says “My guitar is not a thing. It is an extension of myself. It is who i am.” If you are one of the guys crazy like him, then you should look at this guitar.
The touchscreen sits in the middle of the body, where the pickups would be on a traditional guitar. The neck is divided into rows of buttons for each of six “strings” and the 24 “frets.” Where normally you would find a bridge and pickups, instead there is a large touchscreen that not only allows you to play notes but control effects and filters. The Misa Digital Guitar is merely a MIDI control unit, powered by Linux, that is must be plugged into a sound module to produce any sound.
The price is not mentioned on the manufacturers website, but It’s certainly not going to be cheap.
